Carrefour Laval is dedicated to working with the local community to assist with fundraising activities that benefit us all. Throughout the year, many fundraising efforts are made to help renowned foundations. Below is a brief summary of Carrefour Laval’s contribution to registered charities and philanthropic endeavours.
HÉMA-QUÉBEC Blood Donor Clinics
Held 3 times a year, the blood donor clinics are gaining in popularity amongst customers.

Maxime-Letendre Foundation
For the past 5 years, the Maxime-Letendre Foundation has been operating a giftwrapping kiosk during the Christmas Holidays. With more than 200 volunteers, the foundation has been dedicating 160 hours over 2 weeks. Operational from December 6th to December 24th, the kiosk raised $28,000 last Christmas. All the funds were given to the Centre de santé et des services sociaux de Laval to finance the regional program of Hematology-oncology. Aware of their commitment in the community, Carrefour Laval is proud to encourage this foundation by also giving them the money thrown into the mall’s fountains by customers.
Making wishes come true…
Since January 2008, the Fashion Centres have initiated a stroller rental program to support the Children’s Wish Foundation. Recognized as a Diamond partner of this Foundation, the Fashion Centres are donating $1 per stroller rental to the foundation. Since de begining of the program in 2008, 233 000 $ were generated and over 30 children wishes were granted.
What about Santa?
Last Christmas, The Children’s Wish Foundation and Air Transat allowed each Fashion Centre to have a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) to participate in the flight in search of Santa. To be eligible, the families had to visit Carrefour Laval’s serviCentre to get a ticket.
